Oak Wood

The trim work in the library was the work product of master carpenter Herm Sayward. A meticulous craftsman, Herm built many houses in the village area. In the library, Herm used beautiful quarter sawn oak for the bookcases, trim and circular circulation desk. The darker woodwork lends the library a warm, welcoming and cozy atmosphere – perfect for serious study and socializing.
