The wait is officially over! This week marks the launch of our highly anticipated 2026 Summer Reading Program, and we want everyone in our community to grow their love for reading with us this summer.

Whether you are a lifelong bookworm or just starting your reading journey, there is a place for you here. Anyone can participate, and registration is open!

How to Join the Fun & Earn Raffle Tickets

Participating is easy, and the rewards are plenty. Every step of your reading journey brings a chance to win spectacular grand prizes at the end of the summer. Here is how you can stack up your raffle tickets:

Log Your Reading:
- Older Readers: Tell the library staff how many books you have read (printed text, eBooks, or audiobooks all count!).
- Younger Readers: Track your days! Let us know how many days you read (or were read to) for 30 minutes.
Attend Programs: It pays to show up! Earn raffle tickets just for participating in our awesome library events and programs throughout the summer.

🍄 Don't Miss: Kick off your weekend with our Mushrooms of Maine presentation by Jim Dochtermann this Saturday, June 27, 2026, at 10:30 am to learn all about local fungi and grab an extra ticket!

Community StickTogether Puzzle: Swing by the circulation desk and help us piece together our Community StickTogether poster. Each visit you help out earns you a ticket!
Read ME Book List: Double your luck! Read any book from the Maine Humanities Council ReadME book list and earn double the raffle tickets.
Explore with Library Passes: Want to take your adventures on the road? Use any or all of our available Library Passes to visit local museums and parks, and you'll grab a raffle ticket for doing so.
