Play-Based Learning Kits Arrive at PML Through Partnership with the Children’s Museum of New Hampshire

Families visiting Parsons Memorial Library will now have new opportunities to learn through play, thanks to a partnership with the Children’s Museum of New Hampshire (CMNH) and support from Kennebunk Savings. We received a Play-Based Learning Kit filled with hands-on, open-ended materials designed to support creativity, exploration, and early learning.

These materials are part of CMNH’s broader effort to expand access to play-based learning beyond the museum, bringing engaging educational experiences into community spaces where families already gather.

“We’re excited to offer new opportunities for children and caregivers to learn through play,” said Roycean Weyand, Library Director. “This partnership allows us to bring playful, meaningful learning experiences to families right here at the library.” The Play-Based Learning Kit will be used in a variety of ways, allowing PML to incorporate materials into programs, storytimes, take home kits, or informal exploration during visits. Stop by the library to learn more and discover how you can engage with these new play-based learning resources.
