🎃 Spooktacular Success! Parsons Memorial Library's Annual Spooky Walk Smashes Records! 👻

We are absolutely thrilled to report that this year's Annual Spooky Walk at Parsons Memorial Library was a spine-tingling success! The energy, creativity, and community spirit were truly infectious, and we couldn't be happier with the turnout and participation.

A Throng of Ghouls and Ghosts!

We were overwhelmed (in the best way!) by the sheer number of visitors who came out to celebrate with us. Over 550 people graced our library grounds, decked out in the most creative and incredible costumes we've ever seen. From classic monsters to modern superheroes, every corner was a vibrant display of Halloween imagination. Seeing so many families and neighbors gathered together was the perfect start to the spooky season.

Massive Thanks to Our Amazing Contributors!

An event of this magnitude wouldn't be possible without the incredible dedication of our volunteers, supporters, and neighbors. A huge, heartfelt thank you goes out to:

  • The Board of Trustees and the Keepers of Parsons Memorial Library for their unwavering support and organizational guidance. Your commitment ensures these beloved community events continue to thrive!

  • Mo Auger for crafting that magnificent, intricate carved pumpkin that lit up the path—a true masterpiece!

  • Hattie McCarthy for the beautifully decorated sugar skull that added a wonderful touch of artistic flair to our library décor.

  • Amie, Brennan, and Cormac for creating the super fun Ghost cutout photo booth and those adorable, happy black cats. These were definite highlights and provided perfect photo opportunities!

  • Helen, Max, and Angus for engineering the terrifyingly impressive giant paper mâché spider. It was a massive hit (and maybe gave a few people a good scare!).

Our Neighbors and Patrons: The Heart of the Event

Finally, our deepest gratitude goes to all our neighbors and patrons who contributed in countless ways, big and small—from setting up and tearing down, to donating materials, and most importantly, just showing up with huge smiles (or scary grimaces!) and fantastic costumes.

You are the reason the Parsons Memorial Library is so much more than just books; it's a vibrant, community hub.

Thank you for making the 2025 Spooky Walk the biggest and best one yet! We can't wait to see what next year's event will bring!
