We have some exciting news for our library patrons! If you’ve been looking for the perfect weekend activity or a way to burn off some extra energy during school breaks, your library card just became even more powerful.
Thanks to the generous sponsorship of the Keepers of Parsons Memorial Library, we have officially upgraded to the community pass for the Children’s Museum & Theatre of Maine (CMTM) in Portland!
What’s New?
Previously, our library pass provided a discount for smaller groups. We heard how much our patrons love visiting the museum’s three floors of world-class exhibits, so the Keepers of PML stepped up to make it even more accessible for families.
Free Admission: The upgraded pass now covers full admission (no more 50% copay!).
Up to 6 People: You can now bring a group of up to 6 people on a single pass.
Total Savings: With standard admission at $20 per person, this pass saves a local family up to $120 per visit!
How to Use the Pass
Reserve Your Date: Visit our Passes page on the website and reserve your date. You can also visit the library or call us at (207) 324-2001 to see if the pass is available for your desired date.
Pick Up Your Pass: Stop by the main desk to pick up the physical/printed pass. If you reserved online when the library is not open, the pass will be available the next business day.
Book Your Time Slot: The Museum & Theatre uses timed entry. Once you have our library pass, you’ll still need to go to the CMTM website to reserve your arrival time (select the "Library Pass" option during checkout).
Have Fun: Head to Thompson’s Point and enjoy the MakerSpace, the Cave, the Water Table, and more!
Sponsored by the Keepers of PML
This upgrade was made possible entirely by the Keepers of Parsons Memorial Library, our dedicated 501(c)(3) non-profit. While the Town of Alfred funds our core operations, it’s the Keepers who fund the "extras" that make our library so special—from museum passes to our annual Summer Reading Program.
